Asbestos Services
We offer the full range of high-quality asbestos services from asbestos testing and surveying to removal clearances and asbestos management plans.
Our asbestos team has years of experience, with many licenced Asbestos Assessors and IP402-qualified Asbestos Surveyors.
We have an IANZ-accredited asbestos testing laboratory in Christchurch and satellite laboratories in Auckland and Wellington that can quickly process air monitoring samples.
Workplace Testing
Many employees are exposed to hazards in the workplace. These hazards are often a necessary part of their job but need to be managed correctly in order to provide a healthy working environment.

We are IANZ-accredited for methamphetamine sampling and committed to following the current New Zealand Standard around methampetamine testing and decontamination recommendations.
Stack Emissions Testing
Stack testing determines what by-products are discharged from an industrial stack or chimney i.e. its emissions. This test is performed using an isokinetic (uniform) sampling train where gases, solids and steam is captured, analysed and reported.

We utilise both USEPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) and ISO methods for testing emissions and hold IANZ accreditation across a vast array of our methods.

Mask Fit Testing
It is important to get a mask fit test done annually to ensure that your mask is effectively protecting you.
K2 offers mask fit testing nationwide. Upon the successful completion of a fit test, you are issued with a certificate for your compliance records, as well as your peace of mind.
Our staff will offer advice on wearing and storing the mask, with 3M masks available for sale at competitive rates.

Lead Testing
Lead accumulates in the body after repeated exposure. This exposure can come from the dust of lead-based paints or through lead-contaminated soil. For example, if you eat the eggs of chickens who have been fed by grain that has been planted in lead-contaminated soil, you will absorb small amounts of lead.
Lead is a highly toxic metal and a very strong poison. Lead poisoning is a serious and sometimes fatal condition.
We can test for lead in paint and soil and provide a report based on the results.
