Lighting Testing

Optimise your lighting to enhance safety and performance.

People receive about 85% of their information through their sense of sight. Therefore, it is important to have the appropriate lighting, without glare or shadows.

Inadequate lighting can increase eye fatigue and headaches, which may result in poor employee performance and frustration. Good quality lighting also reduces the chance of accidents and injuries.

Lighting requirements vary depending on the work being done and the type of environment the light is servicing. K2 can measure light levels in an office space or a factory to determine whether it measures within the recommended range for specific tasks.

We use a handheld device that measures light in lux. By measuring lux levels at desks, in hallways and under machinery, we can determine whether the area is adequate for the tasks being carried out.

For example, an office desk mainly used for computer work will have a lower lux requirement than a desk where fine detailed work is taking place.
